Natural products have been a valuable source for the development of drugs and nutritional supplements since ancient times. Combining a unique and diverse large-scale natural product database with contemporary high-throughput screening technology has become an advantageous strategy to accelerate the development of natural products.
The core technologies of this alliance project include unique natural extract library, high-throughput screening, development of bioactive test platform, rapid prediction and purification of active ingredients, as well as product development, optimization and preclinical evaluation . In response to diverse needs, the alliance brings together multiple services such as technical consultation, industry information sharing, talent training and cross-domain cooperation matchmaking. The membership structure mainly covers industry-university cooperation members, general corporate members and participants from the academic community.
The Alliance aims to meet the health needs of humans and animals and fully assists related companies in developing new plant-based drugs and health supplements . In order to provide a diverse and stable natural product library and high-throughput screening services, we will develop into a high-quality natural product new drug development platform, inject R&D capacity into the industry and academia in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields, and promote the development of Taiwan's biomedical field and pharmaceutical industry.
